Teach Raithneach

  Teach Raithneach, Starinagh Collon is a purpose-built community hall in an idyllic setting in Co. Meath with ample parking and facilities. GPS co-ordinates:  53.764868, -6.469722

From Drogheda:
take the R168 towards Collon - pass the turn for Tullyallen - keep going straight. Pass Begrath Motor Services on lhs. Pass the turn off for Old Mellifont Abbey on the lhs. Continueon the R168. R168 takes a sharp left turn towards Collon. Continue on R168. Following signs for Military Museum, take a left at the next cross-roads (Drumgooles Cro
ss), down the L2295 (small local road). Continue on L2295 for 1.4km and you will reach Teach Raithneach is on right hand side, just next to the Military Museum. Car Park and entrance to rear.

From Collon:
take the N2 towards Slane. Just outside Collon take the first left hand turn, signposted “Pitch and Putt”. Travel along this narrow road for approx 1 mile; at top of this road take a left at T junction. Teach R
aithneach is on left hand side. Car Park and entrance to rear.

From Slane;
take the N2 towards Collon. Take the 2nd last turn on the right hand side before you get to Collon, at the sign reading “Geraghtys Concrete”. Travel approx. 1 mile. Teach Raithneach is on left hand side. Car Park and entrance to rear.

Drumshallon Forge

Drumshallon Forge is a beautifully restored 350 year old forge. The forge is  on the Ballymakenny Rd between Piperstown and Kellystown.  GPS co-ordinates:  53.732275, -6.345821

From Drogheda:
take the Ballymakenny Rd., pass St Oliver's National School, pass Listoke House (rhs), pass Boyne Valley
Baptist church (rhs), pass Hazelbeech Eggs-to-go (lhs), pass Whelan's pub (rhs), pass Piperstown House & Livery (lhs), the forge is on your rhs identifiable by the small thatched forge.

From Dunleer:
take the R170 towards Clogherhead. Pass the Fire Station and Glen Dimplex (lhs), go to Grangebellew, at the
small roundabout take a right onto the Ballymakenny rd towards Piperstown. The forge (thatched) is on your lhs.

Market House

The Market House and adjacent Coach House have been wonderfully restored as purpose-built community facilities GPS co-ordinates:  53.831384, -6.394850


The Market House is on the main street in Dunleer, opposite the Bank of Ireland.
